Kundl, Austria, 2014. Invited competition.
This extension of an existing Kindergarten in Kundl is based on maximizing internal and external communication, by means of connecting different levels with the outdoor playing area through a vertical network of spaces. These are connected by stairs, ramps and small niches which allow children to navigate through the building and provide for spontaneous learning and resting spaces. As a deep, tridimensional envelope, they become the image of the building.
